Samsung and Google have launched first Chromebook Samsung Series 5. Samsung new notebook runs on Google Chrome Operating System.

Samsung Series 5 notebook comes with 12.1-inch Super Bright display and just 0.79-inch in thickness. This notebook is powered with Intel ATOM Processor N570, 2GB Standard System Memory and 16GB SSD (mSATA) storage. Series 5 weighs 3.3 lbs. and has a battery life of up to 8.5 hours, including five hours of video play. With Google Chrome OS this notebook boots in less than 10 second.

After boot you will find Chrome browser from there you can access other applications. For me this is more a netbook where you can access internet very quickly and run your favorite apps which runs on Chrome browser.

Samsung Series 5 comes in two models WiFi model which costs $429 and Wi-Fi + 3G model which costs $499. Samsung Series 5 will come in two color options White and Silver. The Samsung Series 5 will launch in the U.S. June 15, 2011 from Amazon.com and BestBuy.com.
